“Hihache” – Lafayette Afro Rock Band

I’ve been too busy jamming to this on repeat for the past 20 minutes to put my hands to the keyboard and type anything.  If you are not moving in some way, shape, or form to this song right now, then lay off the Quaaludes (I understand those were a popular drug of the era).

It’s Funk Friday here at starcollecteur.  I’m thinking of making it a regular thing.

If I knew how to mix songs into other songs, I would be mixing this into or out of something immediately.

Look, I love electronic stuff as much as the next person (as evidenced by yesterday’s musical selection), but do you not need some horns and a saxophone every now and then?  Trust me, you do.  My favorite part is the build from 1:58 to 2:17.  That’s the part where you put your detachable siren atop the roof of your Ford Torino and chase some scumbags through the streets of San Francisco.  And it’s not going to be easy.  But this is your job.

Honestly not sure how I stumbled onto this one.  I do spend a lot of time checking out the “Suggested Videos” on YouTube.  Sometimes I end up listening to Kreayshawn tell me what makes a bitch real and about that time in the LA when they just ran around with guns, and I question what has become of my life.  Then there are those other times when I find a song like this.  I love those times.

In summary: Funkdafied.
