“Years and Years” – Lexicon

I think I’m gonna snap one of these days

One of these days I’m a snap into a rage

Friends, I am really at my breaking point here and something’s gotta give.  Name one facet of my life and I’ll tell you how it’s all gone as miserably as possible. Even my best laid plans have gone pear shaped.   And now on top of everything else there’s talk about the possible assassination of Big Bird.  I’m usually an extraordinarily upbeat and optimistic person but I’m just about ready to try hermitry.

People have all gone legitimately insane, right?  Except for those of you reading this right now.  You guys are cool.  Seriously though, I’ve come to feel that I’m the lone sane person in a land of I-don’t-know-whats.  My day goes swimmingly until I set foot outside my front door.  Crazy Town is a place on Earth, and I have an apartment overlooking the village green.  Ignorance really must be bliss.  Sign me up for a lobotomy.

I suppose I’m just having one of those days.  Thank you, Lexicon, for articulating everything I’m feeling.  In fact I think The L is having an even worse day, and possibly year, than I am.  And true that, Lexicon!  People DO seem dumber!

They say to be insane is when you do the same and get the same results and still do it again

These guys are one of my favorite underground hip hop acts and I’m sure I’ll be posting more from them.  Interestingly, Nick Fury and Oak did “snap” in a way and have gone through a metamorphosis.  They’re now on the indie pop tip and living in Paris.

In summary: I feel better now.
